Track and Trace during half term and INSET Day

3rd February 2021

Track and Trace Responsibilities Over Half Term

As half term approaches, I wanted to remind everyone that school will be closed from Monday 15th February and as we have an INSET on Monday 22nd we will reopen on Tuesday 23rd February

Schools have been asked to help with track and trace during this time and as such DGAT have a dedicated email for reporting positive cases during the holiday period; dgatcovid@glosdioc.org.uk

This email will be checked daily, until we return to school.

The DfE have asked schools to make school families aware of the following arrangements regarding positive cases in the holidays.

  • Where a pupil or staff member tests positive for coronavirus (COVID-19), having developed symptoms within 48 hours since being in school, (up until 3;30pm on Sunday 14th February) the school should be contacted via dgatcovid@glosdioc.org.uk
  • If we are informed that a pupil or staff member has developed symptoms and tested positive for coronavirus within 48 hours after teaching ends we will contact parents of pupils involved. I will send an email and text via school ping to inform the relevant bubbles of their need to self-isolate.

  • Where a pupil or staff member tests positive for coronavirus (COVID-19), having developed symptoms more than 48 hours since being in school (after 3:30pm on Sunday 14th February). Parents and carers should follow contact tracing instructions provided by NHS Test and Trace. We will not contact parents to self-isolate in this situation.

I am hoping for all our school and staff families that we can enjoy a healthy restful half term and avoid any of our families having to self-isolate over this period.

Take care and stay safe.
