Belonging, Believing, Becoming
Our vision helps us ensure that as a school community we nurture each other so that everyone can flourish and grow helping us to achieve our Value of Aspiration. It enables us to be, the best that we can be and to inspire hope for others in the local community and beyond.

At St John’s we provide an inviting, inclusive school environment where all members of the school community, of all faiths or none, are valued, respected and care for one another.

We are all fortunate to belong to St John’s C of E Academy; We believe that we can all achieve our dreams and aspirations. The future is in our hands to become the person we want to be.
Bible verses about Aspiration
Mark 16:15
And he said to them, "Go into all the world and proclaim the gospel to the whole creation."
Spiritual
Jesus lived in the assurance that his Father God would provide all that he needed.
At St John's Church of England Academy, we use stories and passages from the bible to guide the way we approach any challenges that face us.
Moral
Learning from Jesus, we recognise that taking a moral stand or tackling a challenge will require courage but we also know that we can pray for God’s strength and his help. We equip our children with the skills required to be reflective, become informed, strive to improve themselves and be able to make decisions  for themselves based on facts and evidence.
Social
As a community, we explore the Christian belief that almost anything is possible because God is for us. We therefore encourage one another to reach our potential and participate in subjects, artistic, sporting and cultural activities that take us outside of our comfort zone.
Cultural
As a Church of England school we take inspiration from those who have been aspirational, inspirational and have been true to their Christian faith. We celebrate individuals such as William Tindale, Herbert Howell and Elizabeth Fry who through courage and perseverance have influenced the political and social life of Britain, and those such as Martin Luther King, Mahatma Gandhi and Nelson Mandela who have also powerfully informed our values and culture.
1 Chronicles 16:11
Seek the Lord and his strength; seek his presence continually.
Isaiah 41: 10
Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.
