Happy Easter

1st April 2021

Happy Easter

Congratulations! We’ve made it to the end of a very unusual term and I think we are all ready for a well-earned rest.
It’s just over a year since we went into the first lockdown and little did we know then what the year would hold for us all.
I would like to say a huge thank you to the staff who have been amazing and have worked so hard to ensure that our children receive a fantastic education; to all parents and carers for supporting us through this time; and a huge thank you to the children who have returned to school keen to see their friends and ready to learn.

Finally I would like to wish everyone Happy Easter and hope that you all have a lovely Easter break with your families.

A Prayer for Children

Loving God,
your Son told his disciples
to become like little children.
Lead us to work for the welfare
and protection of all young people.
May we respect their dignity
that they may flourish in life,
following the example of the same
Jesus Christ our Lord.
Amen.

Prayers for Lent

Holy God,
holy and strong,
holy and immortal,
have mercy on us.

O God, our loving Shepherd,
Who brought again your Son Jesus Christ from the valley of death,
comfort us with your protecting presence and your angels of goodness and love,
that we may also come home and dwell with him in your house for ever.

Restless with grief and fear,
the abandoned turn to you;
in every hour of trial,
good Lord, deliver us,
O God most holy,
God most strong, whose wisdom is the cross of Christ.

O Lord Jesus,
retune the selfish notes of my heart and set them to the music of your humility and love,
that my life may be in harmony with all around me and in tune with your purposes for all creation.
So may I reflect your gentle selflessness.

A Prayer for Family Life

God of compassion,
whose Son Jesus Christ, the child of Mary,
shared the life of a home in Nazareth,
and on the cross drew the whole human family to himself:
strengthen us in our daily living
that in joy and in sorrow
we may know the power of your presence
to bind together and to heal;
through Jesus Christ our Lord.
Amen.
